IMPORTANT – Family Medicine rotation changes its organisation due to the Coronavirus pandemic

Comments are off for this post.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic announced by the WHO, and the decision of the Rector of the Medical University of Lodz, stationary didactic activities at the Medical University of Lodz were suspended from March 12th, 2020.

In this situation, the format of Family Medicine rotation is changing, and students are advised to independently study the program based on materials available on the website of the Department of Family Medicine.

NEW Brand new Skills4Adherence e-learning program devoted to polypharmacy and adherence management in elderly has just been released on April 6th, 2020. Obtaining and presenting the certificate of this program is obligatory for completing the rotation in Family Medicine.

For the time of official suspension of classes, no sick leaves, formal documents etc. are required – activities conducted in online mode will be accepted for points for attendance.

Students who due to the cancellation of on-site classes are not able to present a clinical case in person, are asked to do this exercise at home, based on a known case (it can be e.g. a senior member of their family). Please fill in the template available at the web site (this format will be accepted ONLY!), and then send a scan or photo case report to the Dr Lewek e-mail address.

Tu sum up:

  • Current didactic activities take place in a remote formula (materials on the Department’s website + Skills4Adherence course)
  • To complete the rotation it is necessary to present the Skills4Adherence certificate and the clinical case

Please also carefully follow the next messages available at the Department of Family Medicine and UMED websites.
