On 7–8 October 2026, the Clinical and Didactic Center of the Medical University of Łódź hosted an expert site visit as part of the international ENKORE ECOHEALTHCARE project, focusing on the safe and sustainable use of medicines and medical devices.

The programme included presentations, expert discussions, and an examination of practical aspects of healthcare waste management, hospital pharmacy processes, and the handling of unused medicines. An important element of the meeting was the application of the Hospital Healthcare Waste Management Screening Score (HHWMS) to assess healthcare waste management practices. A patient workshop was also held, focusing on the use and disposal of injectable medicines and the management of pharmaceutical waste generated in the home setting.

Implemented within the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) partnership, the ENKORE project supports the development of more sustainable and circular solutions in healthcare.
