The second meeting of the recently established Parliamentary Team on Therapeutic Adherence was held in the Senate of the Republic of Poland, chaired by Senator Beata Małecka‑Libera. The meeting focused on developing legislative and organizational proposals aimed at improving therapeutic adherence in Poland. Deputy Minister of Health Marek Kos also participated in the session.
Professor Przemysław Kardas, MD, PhD, Head of the Medication Adherence Research Center at the Medical University of Lodz, took part in the discussions. He emphasized the importance of patient education and the need to include therapeutic adherence in the curricula of medical training programs. He also proposed creating a consistent educational framework that would combine theoretical aspects with practical solutions to support patients in systematic treatment.
