At the prestigious Gran Teatro CaixaBank Principe Pío in Madrid, an event took place to wrap up the soon-to-be-completed GATEKEEPER Project. The event brought together over 100 experts from across Europe. The interventions tested in the project, including the “My Health Everyday” app developed by the Department of Family Medicine at UMED, not only proved to be a great success but also a valuable source of data. This data can be used for further development of digital health in Europe. The increasingly common use of artificial intelligence in medicine, emphasized during the meeting, can significantly contribute to this advancement. Hence, the official title of the meeting got the phrasing of “The AI effect: Igniting today’s healthcare transformation”.
