On behalf of the team of researchers from the Department of Family Medicine, carrying out the GATEKEEPER project, Prof. Przemysław Kardas received a congratulatory letter from the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at UMED, Prof. Jolanta Kujawa, MD, PhD, for innovative scientific achievements. As part of the project, which received funding from the Horizon 2020 program of the European Union, the team developed and implemented an innovative coaching application called “My Health Every Day” in Poland and Hungary. The application helps patients solve problems that arise during the treatment of chronic diseases. For example, it provides guidance on simplifying treatment regimens, reducing medication costs, and whether medications can be taken after consuming alcohol, etc. Users’ feedback confirms that the application is very useful, and the support provided by it is highly appreciated by patients.
